WELCOME TO ART!
I started teaching art in 2000 and have been the 9-12th grade art
teacher in Pine Island since 2003. I was a museum education curator for
five years before I began teaching. I am originally from Albert Lea,
Minnesota and now live in Pine Island with my husband and two children.
I love to paint and work with clay on the potter's wheel in my spare
time. Nature and being outdoors are my biggest inspirations.
I
have a B.A. in Studio Art and in Art History from Gustavus Adolphus
College. I received my M.A. in Art History from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison and my M.A.T. in Art Education from Mankato State
University. I am licensed in K-12 visual arts.
Inspiring students to find their creativity and to express themselves visually is a goal I strive for each day.
