* 9th-12th grade students: If you are interested in participating in Senior High Knowledge Bowl, please email Ms. Solberg by Friday, December 6th. SH Knowledge Bowl competition dates are December 16th, January 17th, February 7th, February 21st (sub-regionals), and March 5th (regionals - if the team advances to this round). All competitions take place during the school day. Please email Ms. Solberg if you have any questions or if you are interested in participating.

After Bingo, your grandparents are invited to watch a holiday theatrical performance in the auditorium with you from  9:40-11:00 am.  This play will be performed by students in the Pine Island High School Theater class.  At 11:05, students will be dismissed to complete community service projects or to spend time with a grandparent in an activity or project if you have completed an application by December 6th.  You have received a link to the application by email, as well as received a paper copy during your PROWL.

*Pine Island Minnesota Honor Society is once again seeking donations for a winter project. Students plan to make tie fleece blankets to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Any cash or fleece donation would be much appreciated. If interested in donating or if you have any questions, please contact the staff advisor, Kristi Muston, at There are some great deals on fleece on black Friday, and we'd love to be able to keep a lot of families warm this winter! 

Thanks to your help, last year, we donated 12 blankets and would love to do the same (or more) this year. Please share this post to have spread the word. Thank you!
